Singapore Sogetsu Association & Activities
Singapore Sogetsu Association is a local branch started by Mrs Kazue Kim in 1966, a veteran from Sogetsu School Japan. The key mission of the Association is to promote Sogetsu Ikebana through classes, exhibitions, workshops and get-togethers for sharing of creative Ikebana ideas among members.
Classes are conducted for beginners, intermediate and advanced students by Sogetsu-qualified Ikebana teachers.
Singapore Sogetsu Association is also active in charity. Every year, the Association stages a major floral demonstration by local and overseas Sogetsu Ikebana masters to raise money for the needy in Singapore. Exhibitions supported by Sogetsu members are also held to allow members to express their creativity and also to interest the public on Sogetsu Ikebana.
